Sleep – Body Restoration & Brain Processing

This is an excellent video on why we sleep and what happens when we do.  He presents three ideas 1-Body Restoration, 2-Energy Saving and 3-Brain Processing and consolidation.  I agree with 1 and 3 yet how do we benefit from sleep.  Body restoration is ideal to allow overworked muscles and body movement activities time to repair themselves which if you ever have worked-out hard everyday you know you cannot do that as your body wears out.  Here when onto say that sleep depravation leads to mental illness.

Please look closely at this chart and you will see the great benefits from great sleep and also the very serious negative impacts from a lack of sleep.
